It is with deep sadness that the FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in mourning the passing of active FDNY Firefighter Anthony N. Mauro of Ladder Company 109. Firefighter Mauro tragically passed away on Friday, January 27 after a battle with cancer. Firefighter Mauro was a 6-year veteran of the department.
Firefighter Mauro leaves behind a wife and two children. The FDNY Foundation has set up a scholarship fund for Firefighter Mauro’s children.
