On Sunday, April 21, the FDNY Foundation partnered with SL Green Realty Corp. who hosted the 2nd Annual FDNY Foundation Climb to Summit at One Vanderbilt in Manhattan.
Nearly 300 climbers raced up 1,100 feet to the top of Summit One Vanderbilt to highlight the importance of physical fitness for FDNY firefighters, EMTs and paramedics.
Climbers consisted of FDNY members from firehouses and EMS stations, along with corporate reps and individuals. The top 20 FDNY teams received a stair climber for their respective firehouse/EMS Station from the FDNY Foundation.
This week, FDNY members picked up their stairclimbers for their firehouse or EMS Station at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall’s Island.
The FDNY Cadets had 2 teams who participated and were top twenty winners who paid it forward giving their stairclimbers to Rescue 2 and Ladder 18.
Thanks to all who participated in the 2024 Stairclimb. We look forward to seeing everybody next year!
