On Tuesday, May 28, the FDNY Foundation and FDNY joined Nasdaq for a record Closing Bell! Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh was joined by FDNY Foundation Executive Director Jean O’Shea, Chief of Safety Michael Meyers, Chief of EMS Operations Michael Fields, and other FDNY members.
“The FDNY Foundation supports the work of our members every day, and in particular the families of our sick and fallen members. It’s an incredibly important organization to us as an agency and we thank to them for supporting us every day,” said Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh. “Most of all thank you to our uniform members, our Firefighters, Fire Officers, EMTs, Paramedics, and EMS Officers who answer the call 24/7, no matter the circumstances – it’s for you we all work and we say thank you.”
