FDNY Foundation Congratulates the 164 EMTs on their Graduation

The FDNY Foundation, and our Board members would like to congratulate the 301 Probationary Firefighters who graduated from the FDNY Fire Academy today. The graduating class includes 16 women, the second largest group in FDNY history. The class also includes 120 veterans representing all five branches of the United States Armed Forces- Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy. The class consisted of Twenty-One (21) Legacies that are following in the footsteps of their fathers who made the Ultimate Sacrifice. This marks the FDNY’s largest group of legacies. Of those 21 graduates, thirteen (13) are children of fallen 9/11 firefighters. We wish these probies the best of luck as they begin their careers in the FDNY!
