FDNY Foundation joins FDNY for Brooklyn and Staten Island Boroughwide Plaque Dedication Ceremony

On Wednesday, August 14th, the FDNY Foundation joined the FDNY for a Brooklyn and Staten Island Plaque Dedication Ceremony at the Fire Academy on Randall’s Island. 18 FDNY members who we lost over the last year were remembered.

The FDNY Foundation will never forget these 18 members we have lost. We thank them for their service and sacrifice to the people and City of New York and the FDNY.

“They carried out the mission of this Department every day and were there for New Yorkers on their worst days. This was a great responsibility, and it took determination, bravery, and willpower. No matter the call, they showed up with the same class and character and desire to be of service,” said Acting Chief of Department John Esposito.

“These plaques represent the best of the best, the bravest of our bravest. The willingness of our firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, Chiefs, and Fire Marshals to sacrifice themselves for our city has earned our lasting gratitude. We will Never Forget,” said Chief of EMS Operations Michael Fields.
