FDNY Foundation Congratulates 10 EMS Officers on their Promotions
July 8, 2021FDNY Foundation thanks TREO Waters for their Support of our FDNY Members
July 19, 2021On Wednesday, July 14, FDNY Commissioner Daniel A. Nigro presided over a Bronx Boroughwide Plaque Dedication Ceremony in honor of 10 FDNY members who bravely served the Department in the Bronx.
Commissioner Nigro said, “This last year, the COVID-19 pandemic took so much from all of us, including the ability to safely gather together and remember our fallen members. In the Fire Department, one of our greatest traditions is our ability to gather together, to celebrate, to mourn, to lift each other up, and to honor those we have lost. Today, we accomplish each of those tasks, as we honor 10 of our members who lost their lives far too soon. They were Firefighters, EMTs, and Fire and EMS Officers. Each made their mark in their firehouse or EMS Station, protecting life and property, providing outstanding emergency medical care, and saving lives. When a member of our Department loses their life, we make a promise to never forget them. That’s the solemn vow we make today.”
The FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in honoring the following members:
Firefighter Robert Johnson, Engine81
Lieutenant Peter Lemback, Station26
Firefighter Raymond Phillips Jr., Rescue3
Lieutenant John Moran, Ladder41
Firefighter Joseph Walsh, Ladder32
Firefighter Kevin Nolan, Engine79
Firefighter Daniel Foley, Rescue3
Battalion Chief Dennis Moynihan, Battalion18
EMT John Mondello, Bronx Tactical Response Group
Lieutenant Matthew Keene, Station17
The FDNY Foundation will never forget these 10 members we have lost. We thank them for their service and sacrifice to the people and City of New York.
